Analysis and assessment of proposal AFPUB-2013-V6-001-DRAFT01 (Remove requirement to announce entire v6 block as single aggregate) || Date of Assessment: 16-06-2013
How the staff understands the proposal
This proposal would modify the existing IPv6 allocation and assignment policy (AFPUB-2004-v6-001) by removing the restriction for the requested IPv6 block to be announced as one single aggregate.
- This proposal will benefit multi-national organizations that provide services in different economies to be able to de-aggregate an IPv6 allocation and announce/originate smaller prefixes from their different autonomous systems.
- As written, there are no significant issues implementing the proposal.
No significant legal issues on this proposal.
