Mauritian Mobile numbers migrating to 8 digits

Dear Colleagues,

Please note that all Mauritian Mobile numbers, ONLY will be migrating from 7 digits to 8 digits, effective from the 1st of September 2013.
This will not affect our landline numbers.

All Mauritian mobile numbers will now start with 5, followed by the number, as per the example below:

Existing mobile number 00 230 759 XXXX
As of Sunday 1st September:     00 230 5759 XXXX

AFRINIC and Internet Society in collaboration with France Telecom – Orange will organise webinars on IPv6 deployment targeting Internet operators and service providers.

The webinars will be carried out in English and French and aim to sensitise the operators and IP services providers on IPv6 adoption, which is key to securing Internet’s future and bringing innovation and improvement to telecommunication services.

This conference will help African Internet operators in defining and in setting up their IPv6 migration strategy through experiences sharing in management, engineering and operational best practices.

French webinars will be held on 10 and 11 September 2013

English webinars will be held on 24 and 25 September 2013
