AfriNIC is pleased to inform you that its sixth public policy meeting (AfriNIC-6) will take place at Rockview Hotel in Abuja , Nigeria from 23 rd April to 4 th May 2007 in conjunction with AfNOG2007. This meeting intends to provide a public forum to the African Internet community to discuss different Internet Number resource management related issues and policies in Africa . AfriNIC will be also hosting the INET (International Networking Conference) Africa and the African Country Code Top Level Domain Managers (AfTLD) meeting.

This bi-annual event will convene most of the key Internet players in Nigeria , on the continent and abroad as was the case with AfriNIC-5 which was held in November 2006 in Mauritius . More than 120 participants from around the world attended the meeting, including representatives from Government, regulators and African Network Operators.

The meeting will start with a five-day workshop organised by AfNOG (The African Network Operators Group) and will be followed by 2 days training on IPV6 Networking (28 th and 29 th April 2007) specifically targeted at network operators and ISPs. During the AfriNIC Annual General Meeting, which will be held on the 3 rd May 2007 , elections for the AfriNIC board and one NRO-NC representative will also take place.
