The international access
code for Nigeria is +234. Roaming agreements exist with some international
mobile phone companies. Coverage is average.
Nitel, the main telephone
company, is being overhauled, and digital phone service is mostly
available, but you can also use GSM and other cell phones services
which are quite easy to acquire and use with chargeable cards, also
available in most places for your domestic calls.
