Dear Colleagues,

AfriNIC is pleased to announce the results of the Board Elections that took place on 21 May 2009 during the AfriNIC-10 Public Policy Meeting. The following candidates were elected to the AfriNIC Board:

1) Southern African Region new Board members are:

- Mark J. Elkins (South Africa): Primary
- Silvio Almada (Angola): Alternate

2) Eastern African Region new Board members are:

- John Walubengo (Kenya): Primary
- Lillian Wambui Karanja (Kenya): Alternate

The term of the newly elected Board members start on July 1st and for a three-year period.

Congratulations to the newly elected Board Members and we wish them success in their new position.
