AfriNIC IPv6 Virtual Lab

- Booking procedures

There is no restriction per se on the people that are permitted to book the Mauritius testbed. Nevertheless, a higher priority is given to 6DEPLOY workshops, tests required for AfriNIC network operation, education purposes and advanced features testing.

The testbed booking and schedule tool is being finalized. The URL will be announced soon. When the tool will be launched, reservation can be made by e-mail or through the tool, but the second option will be preferred.

To book the testbed, a reservation must be sent by email to reservation[at]virtual-lab.afrinic.net with the subject "Testbed reservation request". This email must clearly specify:

  • The identity of the requester
  • The organisation the requester belongs to
  • The purpose of the reservation
  • The desired dates
  • The IPv4 /IPv6 prefixes from which the login will be done (to modify access-list to allow access to the routers)

The requester will then receive an email specifying that the request is accepted or declined with the following format:

---------------------------------------------------------------------

Subject: Re [Testbed reservation request]
