Peering depends on a registry that is right.
AFRINIC, the Regional Internet Registry for Africa and the Indian Ocean region, is proud to take part in the African Peering and Interconnection Forum in Kigali. The peering and interconnection at the heart of AfPIF depend on well-managed Internet Number Resources: the IPv4, IPv6 and Autonomous System Numbers that keep your networks reachable and your routes trustworthy.
We are bringing our Member Services, Stakeholder Engagement, Policy Liaison and Registry Products teams to Kigali so that you can meet us in person. Whether you need to resolve an open request, bring your organisation’s records up to date, or complete a verification that would ordinarily take several days by email, our team will be on hand to work through it with you.
How to meet AFRINIC in Kigali.
There are three ways to sit down with our team during the forum.
Schedule through Brella
Request a meeting slot with AFRINIC directly in the AfPIF Brella networking app. This is the surest way to secure a time.
Email us in advance
Write to afpif2026@afrinic.net with who you are and what you would like to resolve, and we will confirm a time and a place before the forum begins.
Walk in at the booth
You are welcome at the AFRINIC booth whenever the team is free.
Consultations run for 30 minutes. If you cannot attend in person and would prefer to engage with us remotely, email afpif2026@afrinic.net and we will arrange a session.

Our team can help with a range of registry and membership matters. You are encouraged to book a session if you would like to:
- Set up or complete RPKI and ROAs
- Bring WHOIS and registry records back into line
- Plan an IPv6 deployment and size a request
- Explore membership and what joining involves
- Confirm your Designated Representative
- Make progress on any open tickets
Membership
If your organisation is not yet a member, our team can help you take the first step, guiding you through eligibility, categories and fees, and helping you begin your application through the New Member Registration Portal.
Reverse DNS, IRR, RPKI, WHOIS and IPv6
Bring your question to the booth and our engineers will work through it with you, on your own resources, with direct access to the registry back end.
In-person verification for BPKI and 2FA
Identity checks that ordinarily require several days of correspondence can be completed face to face while you are at the venue, so that you leave Kigali with the verification already in place.
Keeping your registry records accurate
Sit down with our team to review the information the registry holds on your organisation, including your contacts, resources and assignments, and to correct anything that is out of date before it affects your operations.
Understanding the Policy Development Process
We will explain, in clear terms, how a proposal moves from the mailing list through community discussion to ratification, which policies have been ratified and are awaiting implementation, and how your organisation can take part.
Designated Representative (DR)
Confirm or submit your organisation’s Designated Representative so that you are ready to vote and act on your resources ahead of the next AFRINIC meeting.

Many matters can be resolved on the spot when a few details are in hand. A little preparation often turns what would be a series of follow-up emails into a matter settled before you leave the room. Where possible, please bring:
If you are not yet a member and would like to discuss joining, you are very welcome to visit us regardless. Bring whatever documentation you have, and we will advise you on what else is required.
You can expect to leave with your records aligned to reality, any eligible verifications completed, and a clear next step on anything that cannot be finalised on the day.
- Your AFRINIC organisation handle
- The email address registered on your member account
- A government-issued ID, if you would like BPKI or Two-Factor Authentication verified in person
- Your Designated Representative’s name and contact details
- Ticket numbers for anything already open with us
- A note of any registry records you believe to be inaccurate

MyAFRINIC v2 is a comprehensive rebuild of the member self-service portal. Ahead of user acceptance testing and a live beta, we are gathering the community feedback that will guide what we deliver next. If you submit resource requests, update contacts, manage billing or carry out day-to-day lookups, we would welcome your participation.
