CEO of AFRINIC Adiel Akplogan, to speak at the first Commonwealth Domain Name System (DNS) Forum 2014

The CEO of AFRINIC Adiel Akplogan has been invited to speak during the inaugural Commonwealth DNS Forum. Mr Akplogan will use this international platform to provide an overview of Africa’s Internet landscape, focusing on the opportunities and challenges faced in the region. Discussions during the event will focus on the domain name industry, the governance of cyberspace, local content and local relevance, promoting investment and innovation, the social impact of gTLDs and multi-stakeholder partnerships.

AFRINIC supports this initiative and re-affirms its commitment to strengthening  global multi-stakeholder partnerships through collaboration of industry professionals and partner agencies.

The Commonwealth DNS Forum is a joint initiative of the Commonwealth Telecommunications Organisation (CTO), International Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN), Nominet and the Public Interest Registry.
