The AFRINIC Board of Directors extends its sincere appreciation to all members who have responded to the recent Call for Volunteers to serve on the Bylaws Review Committee.
After a careful review of the applications received, the Board with the consent of the Receiver, has resolved to constitute the Bylaws Review Committee with the following members representing each sub-region;
- Mr. Khaled Khelifi – Northern Africa.
- Mr. Oluwaseun Ojedeji – Western Africa.
- Mr. Andrew Alston – Indian Ocean.
- Mr. Landry Mexent Lingombe – Central Africa.
- Mr. Mike Silber – Southern Africa.
- Mr. Simon Balthazar – Eastern Africa.
In accordance with the Committee’s Terms of Reference, the Board with the consent of the Receiver, has further resolved to appoint Mr Mike Silber as the Chairperson of the Bylaws Review Committee. The Secretariat to support the Committee’s work is comprised of;
- Mr. B. Radhakissoon – Legal Counsel
- Mr. Kishna Dhondee – Legal Officer
- Mrs .Guylaine Laiyra – Senior Executive Assistant
The AFRINIC Board is confident that the Committee brings together a diverse range of skills, experience and regional representation necessary to undertake this important mandate.
The Bylaws Review Committee will undertake its work in accordance with the mandate provided by the Board and will engage with the community as appropriate during the review process. AFRINIC remains committed to transparency, accountability, and inclusive participation as this important governance exercise progresses.
