To allow broader participation from the community and ensure ample time for quality NomCom submissions, the nomination deadline has been extended from 17 July 2025, as previously communicated, to 23 July 2025.

The NomCom plays a critical role in the success of AFRINIC elections. Its responsibilities include:

  • Calling for candidates for elections held by AFRINIC.
  • Prescribing criteria and qualifications for eligibility to stand as candidates.
  • Interviewing candidates, where necessary, prior to finalising the list of candidates.
  • Using its best efforts to ensure a satisfactory number of qualified candidates from the African Internet community stand for election.
  • Overseeing and supervising the candidate selection process in collaboration with the Election Committee.

We invite all stakeholders to nominate credible and trustworthy individuals to serve on the NomCom. One representative from each AFRINIC service region will be selected to ensure neutrality and regional balance.

Please send your nominations to nomcomselection@afrinic.net by 23 July 2025.

Thank you for your continued support and commitment to AFRINIC’s renewal and stability.

Kind Regards,
