AFRINIC has concluded its recent four-day Internet Number Resources Management (INRM) Fundamentals & Understanding and Deploying IPv6 Workshop in Mbabane, Swaziland.

Forty engineers attended the workshop, which was held at the Royal Villas Hotel.

We'd like to extend our appreciation to the Ministry of ICT Swaziland for hosting this event.

Policies that govern how Internet number resources are managed and distributed in the AFRINIC region are proposed, discussed and accepted (or rejected) by the AFRINIC community through a bottom up policy development process of consultation and consensus. Ernest Byaruhanga, AFRINIC's Policy Liaison Manager, gives us an overview of how the Policy Development Process works.

In April, AFRINIC partnered with the International Exhibition on Information Technology and Innovation (OSIANE 2017) in Brazzaville, Congo. AFRINIC staff attended the event as part of its outreach and knowledge-share activities. Radha Ramphul, AFRINIC's Customer Service Manager, gives an overview of AFRINIC's activities during the event.
